The Ministry - Mission and History of Oasis

Mission Statement

We will glorify God by being a witness for life promoting purity, protecting the unborn and offering support to families.

About Oasis Pregnancy Care Centers

OASIS is a non‐denominational, Christian, faith‐based, non‐profit ministry that offer encouragement and support to all women and families experiencing a planned or unplanned pregnancy, regardless of faith or background. We have five centers, three in Pasco County (Land O Lakes, Wesley Chapel and Dade City) and two in north Hillsborough County (Tampa).

Women, teens and families experiencing unplanned pregnancies can find hope at OASIS. Clients can receive free pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, peer counseling, education, and information on childbirth, fetal development, and prenatal care. We also offer information on adoption and the value and sanctity of human life along with practical assistance for mother and child. Although we do not recommend or provide referrals, we give accurate information about abortion risks and procedures. Most of all, unconditional love is extended to all family members, providing them with God’s intended sense of dignity and self-worth.

All information is kept confidential.

History of Oasis

After a 31.5-year career as a financial analyst with IBM, Pete Castellani was laid off from his position in early 2009. Five days later, the Lord gave Pete a vision to open a pregnancy care center in Land O Lakes near the local high schools. (Pete and his wife, Ellen, had been involved with pregnancy care centers in upstate New York several years earlier and then again when they moved to the Tampa Bay area in the early 2000's).

This was a ministry the Lord had prepared Pete to take on from his many years serving as a volunteer and board member of several pregnancy care centers.

Since that time, Oasis has greatly expanded the number of services offered. In 2013, Oasis opened a second center in Wesley Chapel and, then in 2018, merged with another pregnancy center in north Tampa. The Lord gave us the opportunity to serve a broader geographical area as we opened in Dade City in 2021 and New Port Richey in 2024.

With five centers, Oasis offers many opportunities and services to our clients whether in planned or unplanned pregnancy circumstances.
